Tis' the Season...
Three years ago Mrs. Penney was contacted by the Ridgefield Parking Authority to add a little holiday flare to some burlap bags that would adorn certain parking signs in town for the holiday season.
This Holiday season, in conjunction with the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce, the Parking Authority will be covering some of those same signs this year to make sure that people know that they can park all day if they want in town in spaces whose time limit is great than 2 hours. The bags/coverings are going to cover the sign posts to help eliminate confusion.
Once again...every class at Farmingville Elementary School in grades K-5 was able to participate. We used printmaking techniques to complete the task. Students hand block printed each image one at a time on more than 50 coverings.
Please keep an eye open in town and know that each one had one of our very own Farmingville students hand print it! This is becoming a tradition!
