ARCHforKids,
Kids for Community
Students at Farmingville Elementary School (FES) and Branchville Elementary School (BES) had a series of workshops with ARCHforKids, a STEAM-based group of educators who
focus on architecture, art, design and community. The creation of this work took place over a 3 session residency. Working under the theme "Healthy Living & Recreational Buildings", 3rd grade students acted as architects and engineers in training and were challenged to construct a model of an ideal community/recreation facility.
On November 17th Ridgefield Recreation Center hosted a one night exhibition of the models. Photos of the work will be on display through December 19th.
