"Hay" there!

Kindergarten
Haystacks

Kindergarten's young artists looked closely at the work of Vincent Van Gogh as well as read and talked about the book Vincent’s COLORS with Mrs. Penney. The artwork created was inspired by the artists' "Haystacks in Provence".

In their study of the artists’ work, Kindergarten’s young artists took notice of how Van Gogh used the elements of color and texture in his work.
Students applied paint with brushes, scrapers and even their hands as well as torn paper to reinvent Van Gogh’s vigorous brush strokes explore the art elements of texture and color.
