Kindergarten
Studies Georgia O’Keefe
While Georgia O'Keeffe was most well known for her paintings of flowers close up, the artist painted many other types of subjects as well. Our Kindergarten artists looked at her shell paintings to create their own art inspired by that of the artist.
Our youngest artists began by creating shells with oil pastels and tempera cakes.
They then created monoprints for their backgrounds on top of crayon rubbings.
When their print was dry they outlined each shape with oil pastels. Students then cut their shells out and glued them to their backgrounds.
