Polar Bears
To
create their art work students used overlapping shapes to map out the overall
shape of their bear. They then used a dabbing technique to apply the paint and
used printing techniques and oil pastels for the snowflakes. Students used cut
painted paper to collage and “dress-up” their Polar bears a little- outfitting
them with hats, scarves and sometimes mittens!
Farmingville’s
2nd Grade artists were inspired by the winter weather and created
these fantastic Polar Bear paintings. Before they began they first learned some
fascinating facts about these Arctic giants and what makes them so spectacular.
Ask
a 2nd Grader what they learned about Polar Bears!
