5th Grade Clay
Fifth grade students used hand building clay methods to create slumped slab (also called draped) bowls and trays. Each student rolled their own slab and then added
various textures. After they were bisque
fired students then created the glazing
technique you see here by choosing a dark glaze color and after applying it,
sponged off most of it only leaving color in the textures they created. They
then choose a second lighter color and glazed over the first. Take a look at the before and after pictures below as well as some individual images of some finished pieces!
